Last week, I took a break from conquering the drift racing scene and let off some steam by doing some drawing. I’m still very much a novice with Procreate (the application I’m using to draw), but I’ve been impressed with the flexibility it offers and the breadth of its toolbox.
Naturally, I decided to draw some oddball shit. The trio of drawings below are my (clumsy) attempts at combining the post-apocalyptic sensibilities of the Mad Max movies with the least intimidating vehicles imaginable.
First up, the humble Vespa. ‘Nuff said.
Next, an eco-friendly option for nomads wandering the wasteland – a Toyota Prius with a motherfucking cow catcher. This was the first one I drew, but I’m still pleased with how it worked out – I usually have a lot of trouble drawing from a slightly-angled perspective like this.
Finally, a terrifying rendition of one of the most unfortunately-shaped vehicles in human history: the Nissan Cube. Hand up, I was pretty drunk when I drew this one, which is why it’s at the bottom of the list. Oops.
