Experiments with AI-Created “Art,” Part II: Metal Albums

The title kind of says it all, no?

Many thanks to the internet for providing me with the album titles I used as prompts[1]. Before you ask, yes, these are all real.[2]

“Twilight of the Thunder God”

“Big Fat Box of Shit”

“Powerslave”

“Operation: Mindcrime”

“Vulgar Display of Power”

“Wasabi War Machine”

“Rumpus of the Undead”

“Fistful of Metal”

“Chronoclast: Selected Essays on Time-Reckoning and Auto-Cannibalism”

“Ominously Reigning upon the Intangible”

“Crawling Out of Every Hole”

There is, unfortunately, one piece that I was strongly advised not to post: “The Delicate Process of Inserting My 12 Ton Penis Into Frodo’s Ass.” As I’m disinclined to engage in extended litigation with the Tolkien Estate, you’ll have to use your imagination for that one (or just listen to the album, which, again, is a real thing).

[1] I used the starryai iPhone app for this post, but there are lots of options available, both free and paid. (For the record, I’m quite satisfied with starryai, but who asked?)

[2] I primarily relied upon the following three sources when researching album titles: https://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/comments/8oero/great_metal_album_titles/; https://www.reddit.com/r/Metal/comments/3p2wrp/metal_albums_with_the_most_badass_name_that_back/; and https://rateyourmusic.com/list/Reverend_Authur_Belling/hilarious_metal_album_ep_tape_titles/ (Always include citations, kids.)
